Weekly Review of Events in Slovenia from 9 to 15 May

Ljubljana, 16 May - The National Assembly passed a decree stipulating an inquiry referendum on possible formation of 18 new municipalities, scheduled for 21 June. The decree was adopted in agreement with the Constitutional Court ruling. Although special attention was paid to the earthquake-stricken region of Posočje at the government session, draft law on rehabilitation of the region has not been adopted yet. Government negotiators successfully concluded negotiations with the trade union of the universities.
