International Conference on GIS Opens in Ljubljana

International conference on geographic information systems (GIS) for earth science applications started on Monday morning in Ljubljana. About 50 domestic and foreign experts 21 countries were addressed during the opening session by Slovenia's Minister of Science and Technology Lojze Marinček, who said earth sciences are also among those providing answers about the Slovene territory and which are closely related to the draft programme Nature and Culture of Slovenia and Slovenes.
