Do We Still Have a Reason to Laugh?

The 31st international writers' meeting, organized by the PEN Slovenia, started on Thursday morning with a round table 'Laughter at the End of the Millennium'. While all participants in the debate were well-aware of the importance of humour and laughter in one's life and in literature, it has been revealed there are different views on the issue. Some expressed their doubts whether it was still possible to laughed at the turn of the millennium. Writers and poets were received in the evening by President of Slovenia Milan Kučan.
