Maribor Celebrates 7th Anniversary of Pekre Events

Maribor, 23 May - PEKRE/ANNIVERSARY/CELEBRATION
Central celebration for 23 May, the Maribor municipality memorial day, was held Saturday at the Pekre training centre. On this day seven years ago territorial defence members and residents of Pekre and Maribor stood against the pressure from then Yugoslav People's Army which used armed force to prevent Slovene independence efforts.
