Pope Francis's visit to Slovenia was planned for 2024

Ljubljana, 9 May - Apostolic Nuncio to Slovenia Jean-Marie Speich said during a recent funeral mass for Pope Francis that the pope was to visit Slovenia on 6 July last year, but his visit was "prevented". The office of the Slovenian president told the STA that a date had indeed been set, saying the pope could not come in the end due to poor health.
