Slovenia to Participate in Festival of Central European Culture

'Festival of Central European Culture' will take place in London from 21 June through 12 July. The first event of its kind in Great Britain, the festival will feature over 50 artists, performers and intellectuals from Slovenia. The festival has been initiated by Austria on the occasion of its first presidency of the EU in the second half of 1998. It was Austria's idea to present not only one national culture but contemporary art and culture of nine countries in the region. Participants in the FCEC were mostly chosen by Austria.
