Jelka Ovaska Novak and Marjan Poljanec Win Sovre Award
Ljubljana, 28 May - TRANSLATION/SOVRE/AWARD
The 1997 Sovre Award for best translations into Slovene were won by Jelka Ovaska Novak and Marjan Poljanec. Novak was awarded Thursday for the translation of Finnish epic Kalevala and Poljanc for Crime and Punishment by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoevsky, Camera Obscura by Vladimir Nabokov and Silvia, Aurelia by Gerard de Nerval.
