Premier Drnovšek Concludes Visit to Australia

Sydney, 5 June - Slovenia's Prime Minister Janez Drnovšek with a delegation consisting also of State Secretary in the Ministry of Economic Relations and Development Vojka Ravbar concluded Friday his visit to Australia by meeting with Premier of New South Wales Robert Carr and Australian business people. He visited the New South Wales national gallery and looked at pictures of late Slovene painter Stanislav Ropotec. In addition, Drnovšek gave a reception for representatives of the Slovene community in Sydney. Bilateral economic cooperation was the main topic on the agenda on his last day in Australia, just as was at his meeting on Thursday in Canberra with Australian Premier John Howard, Vice Premier and Trade Minister Tim Fisher, Governor General Sir William Dean and Foreign Minster Alexander Downer.
