Vecer: Initiatives and Encouragement

Maribor, 8 June - Foreign ministers from the Central European Initiative, a broad body gathering different parts of Europe from the Baltic to Black seas and from the Urals to the Adriatic Sea, reached agreement on Kosovo at the end of their two-day meeting on the Croatian islands of Brioni. They have realized that the fire burning in Kosovo could spread not only all over the region, but that the killings could assume dimensions Europe has not faced since WW II. The CEI foreign ministers have realized that only a much more decisive reaction than in the case of the first war in the territory of the former Yugoslavia could help, Monday's issue of Vecer says.
