5th Anniversary of Slovene Council of Europe Membership

Ljubljana, 8 June - SLOVENIA/COUNCIL/EUROPE
"Slovenia actively supports reform efforts of the Council of Europe and underlines the role of human rights status monitoring in individual countries", Foreign Minister Boris Frlec said Monday at the 5th anniversary of Slovene accession to the Council of Europe in May 1993. Over the five years Slovenia has been an active member, singing several CoE acts including the European Convention on Human Rights, the European Social Charter and the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities, Frlec added.
