Slovene Business People Brief Speaker of Parliament about their Problems

Businessmen who gathered Tuesday for a session of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (GZS) management board drew attention to some burning issues concerning the Slovene economy. Dissatisfaction was voiced over high interest rates, the discrepancy between inflation and the exchange rate, particularly the one of the German mark, high public expenditure and high taxes imposed on employers, integration into the EU, increasing bureaucratization and politicization as well as too little attention given to the economy either by the government or parliament. The session aimed at discussing the current developments in the Slovene economy.
