Drnovsek: Slovenia is Suitable Member State For NATO

Vienna, 23 June - SLOVENIA/NATO/DRNOVSEK
Slovene Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek said Tuesday Slovenia was a suitable member state for the North Atlantic Alliance. Never a member of the Warsaw pact and with a suitable geographic position, it committed itself to membership in NATO as well as the European Union as early as upon gaining independence, the premier said at a NATO workshop in Vienna on Tuesday.
