Slovenia and Bulgaria Call for Closer Economic Cooperation

Slovene-Bulgarian relations were very good, and the nations shared a number of common goals and interests, including integration into Euro-atlantic organizations, Slovenia's Premier Janez Drnovsek said Tuesday in Sofia after a meeting with his Bulgarian counterpart Ivan Kostov. During Drnovsek's official visit to Bulgaria, to wind up on Wednesday, Slovenia and Bulgaria signed two agricultural agreements regulating veterinary medicine, and the quarantine and protection of plants as well as an accord to stimulate and protect investments and a re-admission agreement. Premier Drnovsek met also with President of Bulgaria Petar Stojanov, STA learnt from a source in the Slovene delegation in Sofia.
