Maribor, 8 July - Slovenia's economy trimmed its sails to favourable winds in the first quarter and achieved higher economic growth than expected. The economic college of Drnovsek's government was therefore able to peacefully inform the public that it was satisfied with the economic trends. If on account of that the government hopes for at least four-percent growth in the gross domestic product this year again, we can only hope for the promise to realize, the Maribor daily comments on Wednesday.
