KNSS: Restriction of Right to Strike Unjust Protection for Government

The laws on restriction of the right to strike of police and customs officers, prison workers and air flight controllers, adopted without prior consultation with the most significant trade unions, represents unjust protection for the government, which, unfortunately, had not been capable, despite of several warnings from the trade unions, to resolve the problem of salaries in the non-industrial sector, said Alenka Orel, the secretary of the Confederation of New Trade Unions - Independence (KNSS), at Friday's press conference.
