Review of Events in Slovenia from July 11 to 17
Ljubljana, 18 July - The government this week mainly dealt with economic issues, while the parliament with municipalities, their funding and the formation of new ones, but failed to bring the motions to vote. The Constitutional Court placed on the agenda of its last session before the summer recess the motion to assess constitutionality and legality of the secret security agreement between Slovenia and Israel and its adoption process. It is still unknown what ruling, if any, it has passed. Also, a group of 15 lawmakers, members of the Social Democratic Party (SDS), started a new motion to assess constitutionality and legality of the Slovene-Macedonian security and intelligence cooperation agreement.
