Parliament Elects Three of Five New Constitutional Judges
Ljubljana, 28 July - SLOVENIA/CONSTITUTIONAL/JUDGES
Three of five new constitutional judges were elected by ballot in the Slovene parliament on Tuesday. New constitutional judges Janez Cebulj, Alojz Janko and Milojka Modrijan, elected upon the proposal of Slovene President Milan Kucan, are to begin the mandate late in October or early in November. As the candidates Zvonko Fiser and Janez Metelko did not obtain enough votes, the candidacy procedure will have to be repeated.
