Delo: More than Half of Slovenes Do not Believe in the Rule of Law

About one third of 731 respondents in a survey published in the latest issue of Delo, believe Slovenia is a country with the rule of law, while more than a half disagree. Compared to a similar poll three years ago, the Slovenes' trust in the rule of law has declined. More than 50 percent of respondents in the October 1995 poll believed the rule of law was observed in Slovenia. The performance of the police was assessed as average in the latest poll.
