Ljubljana, 1 August - The National Assembly last week elected three of five proposed new constitutional judges and passed an amendment to the Denationalization Act which the National council suspended by imposing a veto. Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek talked about topical issues to a news conference, commenting upon the latest developments after Slovenia stopped supply of electricity from the Krsko Nuclear Power Plant to Croatia. The government appointed new top police officials, while Peter Susnik, an independent Ljubljana city councilor, submitted an initiative to call a preliminary legislative referendum on the proposal to amend local government legislation.
