Slovenia's Imports up by 6.1 Percent in Six Months

Slovenia's exports amounted to US$ 4.36 billion and imports to US$ 4.97 billion in the first six months of this year, the National Office of Statistics says. Foreign trade deficit stood at US$ 610.14 million and exports/imports coverage at 87.7-percent. Compared to the first six months of 1997, imports were up by 6.1 percent and exports by 4.3 percent.
