Minister Dragonja Says Refinery Will Close Down

The owners of refinery Nafta Lendava, namely the government and oil company Petrol have agreed it would be a waste of money to spend some US$ 190 million on the rehabilitation of the company, and so the refinery would not be restart after the overhaul had been competed, Economics Minister Metod Dragonja said Tuesday during a visit to Nafta Lendava, eastern Slovenia. If the refinery remained in operation, a monthly loss of SIT 100 million would be made, which nobody could cover, according to Dragonja.
