Slovene Purchasing Power the Biggest in Transition Countries

Ljubljana, 7 August - Slovenia's gross domestic product (GDP) in purchasing power increased between 1995 and 1997 by 14 percent. According to the July issue of Ekonomsko ogledalo (Economic Mirror), which is a monthly magazine of the Office for Macroeconomic Analysis and Development, Slovenia thus remains the most developed country in transition, whose purchasing power reaches 63 percent of the EU average.
