Consumption of ELES-provided Electricity up 3.3 percent in 1997

Slovenia's electric power industry provided 12,650 GWh of electricity in 1997, 2.9 percent up from a year before. Slovene customers used 9893 GWh of electricity in 1997, or 3.3 percent more than in 1996, according to the Slovene electricity company's (ELES) 1997 report. As many as 2511 GWh of electricity were provided to non-Slovene electricity networks, 7 GWh less than in 1996. The Krsko N-Plant produced 2393 GWh of electric power, exceeding its plan by 12.6 percent.
