Contract for 1st Phase of Lendava Signed
Lendava, 20 August - DARS/BY-PASS/LENDAVA
Slovenia has taken the first steps to get rid of long ques of trucks waiting to cross the border with Hungary at Dolga vas. The National Motorway Company DARS signed a contract Thursday with the Ljubljana-based construction company GIZ Gradis and its subsidiaries for the construction of the first phase of a by-pass in Lendava, eastern Slovenia. The contract sets the value of all construction and installation works, to be finished in ten months, at SIT 1.235 billion (US$ 7.3 million). Construction works are expected to begin in a few days so the by-pass, in the first phase a two-lane road, could open for traffic by next summer.
