Weekly Review of Slovene Economy from 16 to 22 August
Ljubljana, 23 August - Representatives of Slovenia's Ministry of Economic Affairs and oil company Petrol held a working meeting on Thursday to discuss their respective standpoints regarding the situation in refinery Nafta Lendava before next week's session of Nafta's supervisory board. Petrol (a 55 percent owner of Nafta Lendava) did not revoke its decision that it would not invest into reconstruction of the refinery. The state, which owns 45 percent of Nafta Lendava, is interested in finding a solution that would save as many jobs as possible and minimize social problems resulting from the closure of the refinery.
