Premier Drnovsek Announces Tough Debate on Funds for Agriculture

Slovenia's Prime Minister Janez Drnovsek, who visited the Gornja Radgona international agriculture trade fair Thursday, announced a tough debate on budget funds for agriculture when commenting on a journalist question about a reform of the Slovene agriculture. To be instituted in the period from 1999 through 2002, the reform was outlined at the trade fair on Wednesday by Minister of Agriculture Ciril Smrkolj.
