Minister Frlec Arrives in Japan
Tokyo/Ljubljana, 1 September - Slovene Foreign Minister Boris Frlec arrived on a four-day official visit in Japan Tuesday. This is the first official visit by a Slovene foreign minister in this country since Japan recognized Slovenia and the two states established diplomatic relations. According to the Slovene Foreign Ministry, Minister Frlec will meet in Tokyo with his Japan counterpart Masahiko Koumura, Deputy Foreign Minister Shunji Janai, head of the parliament lower house Soishiro Ito, head of the parliament upper house Iuro Saito and some other eminent people from Japan political and economic spheres. One the occasion, the two foreign ministries will also sign the declaration on bilateral cooperation between the ministries.
