Delo: Lipizzaners? Let's Eat Them!

Neither Lipica is certain to be Slovene nor Lipizzaners seem to be an autochthonous breed of Slovenia any more. While the Italians and Austrians are trying hard to appropriate the Lipica horse before Slovenia joins the European Union, Slovenia's incompetent foreign policy is trying to persuade the Slovene general public this is merely an issue to be settled by experts, that is horse breeders. With the help from the Netherlands, Belgium and Sweden, also the International Lipizzaners Federation would like to secure its patronage over the Lipizzaner, which reveals that not only prestige but rather business interests are involved, Delo says on Friday.
