Banic: We'll Reject HEP's Letter as Unfounded

The Slovene electricity provider Eles will reject a letter received on Wednesday in which the Croatian electric power company HEP claims US$ 8.3 million compensation for the expenses that have emerged after Slovenia stopped supplying Croatia with electricity from the Krsko nuclear plant (NEK), jointly owned by Slovenia and Croatia. The letter will be rejected as totally unfounded as there is no legal basis for it, Eles Director General Ivo Banic told STA on Friday, commenting on an article published in today's Croatian daily Vjesnik. The Croatian side will receive our answer, likely on Monday, Banic added.
