Higher Trade Exchange and EU Surplus with Slovenia
Brussels, 10 September - The EU's balance of trade with Slovenia was 1,644.3 million ECU last year - over eight times the 1993 level and a rise of 537.7 mi on 1996 alone, the Statistical Office of the European Communities, Eurostat said in its report released Thursday. Between 1992-97 the EU share of Slovene world imports rose from 50.1 percent to 67.4 percent and exports from 54.9 percent to 63.7 percent.
