Government on EU Negotiations
Ljubljana, 10 September - The government Thursday passed the final version of position papers for the seven fields to be negotiated with the EU in the first round. The positions were formerly approved by the Parliament's international relations committee. Of the seven fields, Slovenia asked for one single two-year transition period for culture and audiovisual policy that will be required to enforce quotas for European and independent radio and television productions, Minister of European Affairs Igor Bavcar told a news conference after the government session.
