Weekly review of events in Slovenia from 5 to 11 September
Ljubljana, 12 September - Last week, government finalized the text of the long-awaited amendment bill to the act on the reconstruction of the earthquake-stricken Posocje region and adopted the final version of position papers for Slovenia's negotiations with the European Union, which were later submitted to Brussels. Government did not confirm the tariff part of the collective agreement for nurses, which came as a big surprise for the nurses, who were convinced that an agreement had already been reached on the question of supplements for nursing. Parliament started preparations for its first session after the summer break with reconstruction of Posocje and irregularities in the education ministry on the agenda. Parliamentary commission for parliament's standing orders held a three-day meeting in Otocec to discuss new standing orders, which are expected to take effect only in the next mandate.
