Perutnina Ptuj Becomes Majority Owner of Pivka

The Perutnina Ptuj poultry processing company has recently bought a 38.29-percent stake in the Pivka d.o.o. poultry processing enterprise from authorized investment companies. This capital integration should enable Perutnina Ptuj to get ready for tough competition when Slovenia joins the EU, Chairman of the Perutnina management board Roman Glaser told a news conference on Tuesday. Glaser added his company was interested in purchasing additional shares of Pivka d.o.o. in order to secure a majority shareholding in the company.
