Weekly Review of Slovene Foreign Policy from 12 to 18 September

Slovenia last week hosted Austrian President Thomas Klestil, Canadian and Portuguese defence ministers and parliamentary delegations of Great Britain and Kuwait. The screenings of the national legislations were continued in Brussels, whereas the parliamentary commission for European affairs discussed protection legislation, which is to come into effect at the same time as the Europe agreement. The parliament members were rather critical of the government's activities in this area; as only Greece and Portugal have not yet ratified the agreement, it will come into force shortly.
