Role of Landscape Planning Policies Discussed in Bled
Bled, 21 September - CONFERENCE/LANDSCAPE/PLANNING/POLICIES
A two-day international conference on the role of landscape planning policies in the development of rural regions started Monday in the town of Bled, north, organized by the National Institute for Urbanism and the Network of Physical Planning Research Institutes of Central and Eastern Europe. The conference is entitled 'Towards a Developmental Strategy of Landscape Planning - its Role in the Planning of Rural Regions'. Some 70 participants from 11 countries will discuss possibilities for and threats to the development of rural regions, and strategies for the sustainable development of rural regions in Europe. Challenges to Central and Eastern European rural areas will also be touched on.
