Greens of Slovenia Request Amendment to Decision on Referendum

The Greens of Slovenia are continuing to collect the required 40,000 signatures for a referendum calling for the closure of the Krško nuclear power-plant. However, the party has received word from the Minister of Internal Affairs indicating that the signatures will need to be verified by the municipal council, and that 120 SIT is demanded per signature, said the President of the Greens of Slovenia, Vane Gošnik. The Greens of Slovenia promptly requested the abolishment of taxes on citizens who are exercising their right to freedom of choice, in the case of the search for support for the referendum, added Gošnik.
