European Walled Towns Discussed at International Symposium

Portorož, 22 September - SIMPOSIUM/WALLED/TOWNS
The town of Piran and the municipality of Piran host from 22 through 27 September the 8th international symposium 'Walled Towns Friendship Circle', which started Tuesday in the town of Portoroz. Representatives of 42 walled towns from 14 European countries will exchange experience gained in the fields of tourism, education of the young, the protection of the environment and investments into the national heritage. Participants in the symposium will be received by Slovene President Milan Kucan at the Piran Town Hall this evening.
