Parliament Rejects Proposal to Replace Minister of Education

Ljubljana, 24 September - NATIONAL/ASSEMBLY/EDUCATION/MINISTER
The National Assembly rejected a proposal filed by opposition parties according to which Minister of Education and Sports Slavko Gaber should be held responsible for alleged irregularities within the Ministry of Education and Sports. The proposal was filed by the Social Democratic Party of Slovenia (SDS) and the Slovene Christian Democrats (SKD). Lawmakers neither suggested to Premier Janez Drnovsek that he should replace Minister Gaber.
