EU, Candidate Countries on Cooperation in Judiciary and Home Affairs
Brussels, 24 September - EU/CANDIDATES/SLOVENIA
Slovenia's adjustment to EU regulations for the judiciary and home affairs was presented by Justice Minister Tomaz Marusic and Interior Ministry State Secretary Slavko Debelak at the meeting in Brussels on Thursday of EU justice and home affairs ministers with their counterparts from applicant countries. Both Minister Marusic and State Secretary Dezelak said after the meeting that Slovenia was the best prepared candidate country, but pointed out slow ratification of relevant conventions and EU-harmonized legislation in the Slovene parliament.
