Volume of Industrial Output up 8.6 percent in August

Ljubljana, 29 September - The volume of industrial output increased by 8.6 percent in August from August 1997, but decreased by 15.4 percent from July 1998 and 12.1 percent in comparison with the 1997 average volume of industrial output. The National Statistical Office said the industrial output in the January-to-August period was up 4.7 percent in comparison with the same period last year.
