Advisory Body to National Assembly President Discusses Amendment by Twenty Deputies

The Advisory Body to the National Assembly President discussed at a session today an amendment put forward by twenty deputies demanding that the deadline by which the current legislation must be brought into line with the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia be postponed until December 31, 1994, except in the case of regulations in the area of state administration, local self administration and public finances. It was decided at the session that it is up to this group of deputies to decide whether it will persist in its proposal. The process of making an amendment to the Constitutional Law remains an open issue due to the diversity of positions in this matter.
