Slovenia to Submit Further Position Papers to the EU in December and January

Slovenia will submit position papers for further chapters to the European Commission in December and January, so that negotiations on them could start in spring, at the time of German presidency over the European Union. As envisaged, the position papers will cover eight areas. The issue will be discussed by the government at its Thursday session and during a visit by Jaime Garcia Lombardero, the European negotiator for Slovenia, in Ljubljana later next week, European Affairs Minister Igor Bavcar and Janez Potocnik, who heads Slovenia's select negotiation team, said at Wednesday's session of the parliamentary European Affairs Commission.
