Interior Minister Rejects Allegations Contained in Interpellation Motion
Ljubljana, 7 December - INTERPELLATION/BANDELJ
Slovene Minister of the Interior Mirko Bandelj sent to parliament at the end of last week a 13-page answer to an interpellation motion filed against him by the Social Democratic Party of Slovenia (SDS). This largest opposition party accuses the minister of violation of the constitution and law in his alleged refusal of the parliamentary control over his ministry, that is the criminal police. Bandelj, a member of the Liberal Democracy of Slovenia, rejected all allegations as "legally ill-grounded and absurd in terms of their contents".
