Slovenia's Position Papers on Consumer Protection Presented

Slovene legislation on consumer protection and health is partially harmonized with the EU law. In the process of adopting the acquis of the European Union, Slovenia will pass and begin to implement amendments to the Consumer Protection Act and some other laws by the end of 2002 in order to secure the protection of health, consumers' economic interests and their safety, as well as to strengthen institutions in the field. That is the essence of Slovenia's position papers in the area, which were presented on Wednesday.
