Drnovsek: Reforms in EU and Slovenia Should go Hand in Hand

Vienna, 12 December - Slovenia's Premier Janez Drnovsek said after the meeting in Vienna of the fifteen EU leaders with their counterparts from 11 candidate countries that in view of the enlargement process internal EU reforms should go hand in hand with Slovenia's preparations for accession. The candidates are getting conflicting signals about enlargement with calls for faster membership preparations being coupled by warnings that the enlargement process might take more time, the premier said in his address at the meeting.
