Meeting on Slovene - Croatian Border
Nova Vas, 23 December - Officers of border police and customs services of Slovenia and Croatia and mayors of border municipalities met Wednesday for a traditional meeting in Nova vas above the border river of Dragonja to emphasize the importance of open borders for free movement of people, goods and ideas. The national border in the Istrian peninsula must be kept as open as possible, an objective that can only be attained through joint efforts of border authorities and local communities from both sides of the border, the participants said.
