EU and Slovenia from December 19 - 25
Ljubljana, 27 December - It finally became clear this week that the Europe Agreement would enter into force on 1 February next year, after the EU and the European Commission passed the decision that all agreement implementation procedures had been completed. But there still is the question of how Slovenia would regulate implementation of the agreement's annex 13 (Spanish Compromise): the law granting foreign nationals the right to purchase real estate in Slovenia this week ultimately failed and the National Assembly has a week to see whether the freshly tabled reciprocity bill could provide the right solution.
