Ljubljana, 9 January - A new Slovene motion picture, Tugo Stiglic-directed Patriot was premiered in the first week of the year. The Ljubljana Town Theatre staged Shakespeare's Anthony and Cleopatra, and the amateur Senjakob Theatre started a re-staging of Goldoni's Grumbler. Mladinska knjiga publishing house published the first interactive atlas of Slovenia, while the Science and Research Center of the Slovene Academy of Sciences and Arts issued three scientific geographical publications. The Pilon Gallery in Ajdovscina celebrated painter Ivan Carga's centennial by an exhibition of the artist's later works.
