Review of Slovenia's Economy from 2 through 8 January

Ljubljana, 10 January - The committee of creditors of TAM and its subsidiaries last week supported the proposal of the trustee in bankruptcy to sell the entire property of the Maribor-based car industry under receivership to the company MTI Evropa for SIT 10.5 billion nett. The government as the greatest creditor, however, decided to make up a list of additional conditions to be set to the buyer. A final decision on the sale of the property of the company that has been under receivership since June 1996 is expected to be adopted later next week by the senate in bankruptcy of the Maribor District Court.
