Higher Trade in First 11 Months
Ljubljana, 11 January - Slovene exports in the first eleven months of 1998 amounted to US$ 8.33 billion and imports to US$ 9.24 billion according to preliminary results released Monday by the National Statistical Office. US$ 908 million deficit was reported, while the exports/imports coverage was 90.2 percent. Compared to the same period two years ago, the volume of exports in US dollars increased by 8.6 percent. Imports were up by 7.3 percent.
